Claire and Justin changed their first dance by request of the bride's father.

Wedding DJ, Wedding Disco at Stockport Town Hall

For Friday 24th May 2013 - Wedding DJ Dave was booked to host and entertain at the wedding of Mr & Mrs Sayles at Stockport Town Hall. The wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening disco were all held at the hall. Dave arrived as usual ahead of schedule to allow plenty of time to set up the disco equipment, in case the wedding was running ahead of the planned schedule. This was not the case, the event was actually running about 30mins behind time.
The disco set up area was separated by a partition from the area where the guests were enjoying the wedding breakfast, which meant that Dave could set up anyway without disturbing them. After the wedding breakfast and speeches the partition was removed so that DJ Dave could get started with the disco with a little music to keep the youngsters present entertained.

Shortly after this it was time for the bride and groom's first dance and so time for Dave to get everyone out of their seats and around the dancefloor so no one would miss the special moment. They chose the song 'Etta James - At Last' for the wedding first dance followed by Barry White's 'My First, My Last, My Everything' for their friends/family to join in and dance with them.

















The evening buffet was served after this and Dave then filled the night with fun and everyones favourite music.

Wedding DJ Hire, Oaks Hotel, Burnley

Saturday 11th May 2013 - Wedding DJ Dave booked for Liam & Laura's evening wedding reception at The Oaks Hotel, Burnley

DJ Dave really enjoyed this event. The groom is actually a friend of Dave's who knows several DJ's but choose him owing to his experience with weddings and the quality of the service he provides.
On arrival the setup arrangements were discussed with the band who also had a 2 hour slot to entertain during the evening.

Dave warmed up the evening with his music before the band were due to start their first set at 8:30pm. The band were 'The Ryan's' who specialise in Irish classics (owing to this being the origin of some of the brides family).
In the band's break DJ Dave ensured everyone in the room knew the first dance was about to take place before properly introducing the bride and groom to their chosen track from 'Westlife'. Everyone cheered and applauded as they took centre stage on the dancefloor. Following on from this the bride had also requested a song to dance to with her father which followed the first dance. After this the evening buffet was opened and a selection of recent hits were played during this time by request of the groom.
The band followed with their second set from 9:45 - 10:45.
After the band DJ Dave really got the party going with many classic party, disco and motown hits which kept everyone on the dancefloor throughout the night

Towards the end of the night another special request from the bride and groom was to play their second dance, another Westlife track, which meant a lot to them and was a great end to their special day.

Mobile Disco and DJ Hire in Darwen, Lancashire

Friday 10th May 2013 - DJ Dave was booked for Jake's 21st birthday party at Darwen Cricket Club

Dave likes working at this venue as there is excellent access for DJ's and the staff there are friendly.
Dave was let into the venue at 6:30pm to get everything ready for the 7:30pm start of the event.
The room just seemed to fill up with people all of sudden at 8pm. Dave had worked for the same family previously so knew that there would be a great party atmosphere before the start of the party.

The evening buffet was opened just about 9pm for the guests have a quick bite to eat and build up some energy for the dancing that was in store for the rest of the night.
Dave introduced Jake so that everyone could sing Happy birthday to him on his special day which everyone in the room joined in with and was followed by a short speech of thanks to everyone from Jake.

DJ Dave got the party started straight after this with a selection of tunes from 80's up to the most recent chart hits and also a few Motown classics which went down well with the audience. As you can see from the photos, everyone had a really excellent evening with DJ Dave.

DJ Hire at Burnley Miners Club, Burnley

FRIDAY 10th MAY 2013 - The day of Glynes's 70th birthday party which was held at Burnley Miner's Club on Plumbe St.
Dave Pierce Entertainment were booked to carry out their evening mobile disco for this special event.

DJ John arrived early to be set up and ready for the arrival of the guests to the event from 7:30pm even though having worked here previously (on many occasions) and knowing that this venue has excellent access for DJ's.

DJ John started the evening with some 60's music as requested by the birthday lady and also some of Robbie Williams and Westlife which were particular favourites of hers. Around 40 people turned up on the night but that didn't spoil the party atmosphere one bit! The buffet was opened for everyone to enjoy at 9pm. Shortly after the buffet DJ John brought attention to the birthday lady for everyone to sing happy birthday to Glynes that everybody joined in with.
After this the party then began with a little bit of classic Motown which filled the dance floor and then a mixture of old and new music for the rest of the evening to keep all ages at the party interested.
Glynes left at around 10pm to the sounds of the pre-requested track "wish me luck" By Gracie fields.
There was also some karaoke from the younger relations and some surprisingly good singers made the evening complete.

DJ Hire and Mobile Disco in Little Leigh, Cheshire
Sunday 5th May - We were booked to entertain in Little Leigh,Cheshire for Julian and Barbara's joint 50th birthday party. It's a little further than we would normally travel to events but DJ John did not mind this with the good bank holiday weather. You couldn't miss where the party was, just follow the all balloons.

DJ John met Julian & Barbara who were very nice people and helpful who offered to help with the set up of the equipment. We generally decline this because they've paid for our services which includes the DJ setting up the necessary equipment and also we would not like a customer to injure themselves by assisting us.

The address had a lovely garden & marquee (provided by www.newcastlemarquees.com)& the sun made for an excellent day to have a marquee party.
As usual DJ John was all set up with the sound check completed & still spare time before the event was due to start in case anything obscure arose.
The guests arrived at the party and were really enjoying the music and the sunshine until the food was starting to be served and after this the announcement of the birthday cake for Julian and Barbara. Julian made a short but very touching speech of thank you's to the guests, his family and wife. Then not to be outdone, the better half, Barbara, had a few words to say along with a poem which was pretty amusing and well thought out.

DJ John lead the guests into singing happy birthday to them both at this point followed by the start of the disco and dancing. The music was flowing and as the sunshine fades, the heating is put on in the marquee which in turn brings the guests in from the garden and more dancers to the floor.
John received many music requests which were very diverse and everything from Katy Perry to Led Zeppelin.
The last hour of the event was purely Rock music from Freebird to Whole Lotta Love & the family song FIREWORK to round off an excellent event!

Wedding DJ Hire DISCO in Stockport

Saturday 4th May 2013 - DJ Dave was booked for the evening wedding reception disco of Cheryl and Neil which was held at Bramhall Hall near Stockport.

GUESTS ENJOY THE DANCING

This is a lovely old wedding venue which was built in Tudor times. As with all Stockport Council venues this event also had very friendly staff who would go out of their way to make sure everything was perfect on the day.

The actual wedding in the dining room was running a little late which gave DJ Dave a little extra time to set up and discuss the evening ahead with staff members. It was due to start at 7:30pm but the lengthy speeches meant guests didn't change to the room the evening disco was to be held in until 8:15pm. After playing some old-time swing and welcoming the guests to the evening reception DJ Dave shortly followed by the introduction of the 'first dance' (Elbow - One Day Like This). An excellent choice. Guests at the wedding loved this and could not help joining in with the happy couple in their special dance. Van Morrison was also played for the Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dances after the first dance.
This set the party into full swing for the night and Dave's excellent entertainment and music kept the dance-floor busy all night long until the close at midnight.

Wedding DJ Hire in Manchester, Mobile Disco for Wedding

Monday 29th April 2013 - Wedding DJ at Glamorous Restaurant, Ancoats Manchester


Dj John arrived in Manchester in good time as usual to set up for this special event, the Chinese style wedding was booked to be from 6pm until 12am. He thought this was an excellent venue which was very DJ friendly with access to the setup area and parking available.
The staff where exceptionally friendly and accommodating! We had a small problem on the night where after having set up in one room unfortunately the room wasn't going to accommodate the amount of guests who had arrived for the event so we had to move our equipment to the larger room. The disco got started at 7:30 after this initial hiccup. The bride and groom looked great, especially sue with her dress that was so beautiful. Their first dance was very well received by the guests, as was the next 4 songs that had been picked in advance by the bride & groom. DJ John had everybody dancing and really enjoying the occasion.
The rest of the evening followed in the same way & the dance floor always had people dancing on it. We had only one music request during the disco all evening which was good because it meant everyone was enjoying the varied choice of music from the 60's to present day.

Sunday 28th April 2013 - We were booked for Joyce's 70th birthday party to be held at the Sinatra's Bar of Elton Liberal Club in Bury.

This is a lovely venue that recently has all been refurbished.
This was a relatively quiet event for around just 70 people.
They also have a bigger function room if you have more guests for your event which is also free of charge to hire.
DJ John thought the staff here were excellent.
Joyce (the birthday girl) is lovely. She looked after everyone even DJ John.
We sang happy birthday to her after the speeches & this even got a round of applause for DJ John.
He commented "what a lovely bunch of people".

Wedding DJ HIRE at Leyland and Wedding Mobile Disco

Saturday 27th April 2013 - We were booked for the Wedding Disco of Lee & Rebecca at the Leyland Hotel.

DJ John arrived at the venue as always in good time to set up the equipment ready for the 8pm start time. On his arrival, the wedding was running a little late so he sat outside waiting a short while for the toasts/speeches to be over.

He was directed by the staff around to the rear of the venue for better access.
This was a very nice venue with great access for DJ's which pleased John very much. He was set up and ready to go shortly after the planned start time due to the event running a little over the scheduled time.
At 9:30pm the announcements were made for the cake cutting and then for the all important first dance! John commented that this went down very well, all the guests applauded the bride and groom and joined in with the dancing for the second dance choice.

The customers had requested for us to use a smoke machine but unfortunately the venue would not allow this.
(Customers please note that use of a smoke machine is NOT PERMITTED at this venue due to the fire detection system they have in place)

The rest of the evening was just as enjoyable with everyone dancing and many excellent requests taken as well as using the playlist from the happy couple.

Mobile Disco, DJ Hire Blackburn BB1

Saturday 27th April 2013 - Mobile Disco and DJ Hire at Blackburn Northern Sports Club

DJ Dave was booked for an Old Skool 90s Dance Night for Stuart's 40th birthday. A big requests list was provided much of which contained difficult to obtain music from the 90s Manchester rave scene. This was no trouble for Dave as he has always taken a keen interest in music from this era and in fact used to play a lot of this music on 12" vinyl.

The first hour consisted of up to date recent chart music which had been requested by Stuart for the youngsters at the event.

After an hour we kicked off with the old skool which filled the dance floor and kept it that way throughout the evening!

Dave received many good comments at the end of the night on how he ran the evening and the excellent music selection with some tracks the guests hadn't heard for years which brought back many good memories for them.

MOBILE DISCO DJ at Clitheroe with KARAOKE HIRE

Saturday 20th April 2013 - Mobile Disco DJ HIRE and Karaoke Hire at St Michael, St John Social Centre Clitheroe.

Carolynne hired DJ Dave for her and her husband John's 50th Birthday party with a Casino theme.

They booked a roulette, black jack and poker table along side hiring our mobile disco service which on this occasion also included our karaoke package.

The casino tables were played between 8pm - 10pm and were enjoyed by everyone who played. We also had a few prizes to give away for the winners!

After 10pm we got everyone into the karaoke with songs from all over being sung on the night.

Carolynne gave us the following review of the night: "Just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic disco on the 20th April. Daughters were very impressed that you played some decent music for them. Everyone really enjoyed the disco and karaoke and commented about the excellent music choice. Thanks again."
